Hinged Handle Nets Item #s, 130, M130, 500, 501 & 511.
1 Remove one of
the shaft locking buttons by carefully see sawing it off the end of the
shaft. On newer 130 & M130 models the pin and collar assembly was
replaced with a stainless steel bolt and locking nut. In this case,
remove the nut.
2 Note orientation of the handle, aluminum hoop end yoke
and hoop. This is important as when the stainless steel pin (or bolt)
is removed all components must go back in the location they were prior to
removal. Note brass washers are located on each side of the handle
between the handle and hoop.
3 Once the pin (or bolt) has been removed the aluminum end
yoke can be removed from the hoop making sure to keep track of the hoop,
handle and yoke orientation with each other.
4 Remove the net bag and slide the replacement net bag
back on the hoop. See below instructions for Knotless nylon (4) and
(4) for micro-mesh net bag installation.
5 Reassemble the yoke and insert pin (or bolt) into
assemble making sure brass washers are in place between the handle and hoop.
6 Reinstall locking pin end cap making sure it locks
securely on the shaft. In the case of the nut & bolt assembly tighten
the nut to ensure threads are inside the nylon locking portion of the nut
and go fishing.

1 Loosen the screw at the yoke where the hoop ends enter
the handle.
2 Grasp the handle and outer side of the hoop. Twist the
hoop slightly back and forwards. Pull slightly with each hand to see
saw the hoop ends out of the handle.
3 Taking care to see how the loops of the net bag are arranged on the
hoop, remove the old net bag.
4 Beginning with the replacement net bag loop closest to
the brass net bag holding ring, thread each loop over one of the hoop ends
taking care to ensure the loops are facing the same direction. Having
the hoops facing the same direction will ensure the bag hangs correctly on
the hoop.
5 When all loops are threaded onto the net hoop, you
should finish up with the brass ring placed evenly between the open ends of
the hoop. If not adjust the loops from one side of the hoop to the other to
accomplish this.
6 Place the ends of the hoop into the handle and repeat
step 2 above to get the hoop ends securely back into the handle.
7 Place the net hoop on the end of a flat surface and
adjust the handle to get the yoke in line with the hoop by holding the hoop
flat and twisting the handle slightly.
8 Tighten the yoke screw to secure the handle to the hoop
and go fishing!
1 Loosen the screw at the yoke where the hoop ends enter
the handle.
2 Grasp the handle and outer side of the hoop. Twist the
hoop slightly back and forwards. Pull slightly with each hand to see
saw the hoop ends out of the handle. Do not discard the short piece of
elastic cord that is held in the handle alongside the hoop ends and retains
the net bag when not in use.
3 Remove the old net bag.
4 It is helpful to place a small piece of tape over the
hoop end you will be threading the net bag on to to prevent the hoop
end from snagging the net bag during the threading process. Thread the
net bag over the hoop end with the seam of the net bag towards the opening
of the net. Work the net around the hoop to get the opening of the net
bag back to the ends of the hoop. Remove the temporary tape.
5 Place the elastic cord into the handle ends on the screw
side of each opening to a point just below the screw. The screw will
hold the loop in place when tightened.
6 Place the ends of the hoop into the handle and repeat
step 2 above to get the hoop ends securely back into the handle.
